Xstrata Coal has committed to a two year support contract with Pulse, extending the partnership until December 2014. The new support contract incorporates a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and a commitment to an agreed volume of development effort per month. Marketing & Logistics, commonly referred to as Coalman, and Data Warehouse Systems have also been included in the expanded SLA.

In addition to the ongoing maintenance of their existing system, Xstrata and Pulse have commenced a preliminary analysis to redevelop the Production module in Microsoft’s .NET framework into a state-of-the-art Production Recording module.

Pulse has provided services to Xstrata for over a decade. Xstrata is one of the world’s largest mining and metals companies, operating in more than 20 countries and employing over 70, 000 people globally.
