The Consolidation Module consolidates data from various companies and joint ventures into a single entity for reporting purposes. It can handle cases from a simple direct part-ownership to more complex interlocking ownership structures with varying participation and ownership percentages.
Using the consolidation module you can easily define structures such as the one shown below. Interlocking structures with partial ownerships are handled easily, automating and simplifying the process of creating consolidated reports.
A common set of consolidation codes is used by the consolidation module to group transactional data for corporate companies within the reporting entity. This allows the module to consolidate data from all companies even if they use different charts of accounts.
Transaction details can be brought in and consolidated from either the Pulse or non-Pulse systems. The base transaction contains trace back detail to the original data source.
Journals can be defined in the consolidation module to manipulate the generated transactions values without affecting the journals in the base company. This functionality is used to take up costs at the corporate level that do not affect the operating entity.
