The Human Resources module encompasses a complete payroll solution, training records, employee counselling and has functional occupational health and safety features designed to meet statutory legislative reporting requirements.
The payroll system is one of the best used in the mining industry being flexible, powerful and providing fast, functional easy to use payroll processing and calculation. Some key features are:
- Single and multi-site capabilities.
- Details of all current and previous industry awards are built in to the system.
- A variety of pay cycles can be used including, weekly, fortnightly or a monthly annualised salary. Extensive rostering capabilities and pay averaging calculation functions.
- Allows automated entry of times using timecard readers, negating the need for manual timecard input.
- Full payroll history reporting for statutory reporting purposes (minimum 7 years)
- Accurate backpay and payroll reprint facilities.
- Automatic update of training systems for statutory purposes to assist in meeting legal requirements.
It is important for mining operations to maintain up to date training records for employees in order to ensure that only qualified personnel operate machinery and to assist in planning future training requirements. Some of the features of the Training module are:
- Tracks and records employee skills and training requirements to allow employees matching a certain skill profile to be found easily.

- Maintains a cost and history record for all courses attended by employees.
The Human Resources module tracks all details required under Occupational Health and Safety regulations:

Employee counselling is another area that is made easier using the Pulse system:
- Assists in analysing attendance patterns and trends by using attendance records extracted against user specified criteria.
- Records and tracks counselling sessions to assist in decision-making.
