The Supply modules manage all aspects of purchasing, stores, requisitioning and maintaining supplier catalogues. Stock levels are easily tracked and controlled using tools such as barcode readers and intelligent reordering options. Costs are reduced by better managing existing stocks and improving the ordering and requisitioning processes.
The requisitioning and approval process is streamlined by using a full electronic requisitioning capability. All activities, from raising a requisition through to the final payment can be done electronically.
The Supply modules are fully integrated into the other Pulse modules, such as the financial, human resources and maintenance modules. Information is only obtained once, at the source, and is instantly available throughout.
Some of the features offered by the Supply modules are:
- E-commerce enabled allowing the automatic generation and placing of orders via EDI, fax or e-mail.
- Orders can be validated and purchasing limits verified using configurable approval hierarchies, thereby enforcing corporate policies and controlling costs.
- Information flows automatically between purchasing, accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger / costing systems.
- Coding the cost of parts purchased against a work order or cost centre allows accurate costing at individual equipment level.
- The system has multi-warehouse capabilities and functions.
- Parts requisitioning can be subject to order limits and business approval rules.
- Full barcode capabilities including barcode stocktake process.
- Static, continuous and random stocktake methods are catered for.
- A clothing and footware subsystem controls the issue of clothing and footwear allowances using a points-based system, eliminating the issue of excess items and reducing the cost of providing the equipment.
- Tool Store functionality, with the capability for multiple sites, allows for the borrowing and tracking of tools.
- The automatic scheduling of tool servicing can be done according to various parameters, such as usage, elapsed time or other user definable parameters.
- Contract Administration capabilities allows progressive payments to be made and can create budgets for the lifetime of the contract based on contract performance to date.
- An effective supplier catalogue facility ensures the correct and most economic parts are sourced on a timely basis.
- Analysis programs assist reducing materials costs by the ability to compare costs between suppliers within the system.
- A subcontract labour module allows the tracking of contractor's labour hours and costs against work orders and cost centres. It generates recipient created GST invoices based on contracted labour hourly rates.
